Pulling together a fantastic Las Vegas wedding on a low budget? Amanda Did! Here are some tips for having a wedding with class and character without breaking the bank!

1. Luminaries

Luminaries
Cute details to add some glow!

Amanda had colored glass jars going all around her yard in her wedding colors. They created a subtle, but cute eclectic theme and added a romantic glow to the yard when the sun went down. You may be able to use a collection of mason jars or contact a florist about renting lanterns, vases, or bird cages! There are all sorts of options for creating this look! For a windy day use Led candle substitutes to get the same affect without having all the candles blow out every three minutes.

2. Little Details

Small things can make a big impact
setting the mood

It can be pricey to rent a table cloth AND an accent cloth. How about to continue with that eclectic feel rent a basic table cloth from your local rental company and then use fabric to make simple overlays. It can be as easy as cutting a square of your favorite color cotton! In Amanda’s case she had a family member who quilted a small table centerpiece for each table out of the fabrics that had inspired the theme. Then they accented the tables with oil lamps and small ceramic birds. It completed the eclectic flair and pulled together each table.

3. Alternative “Guest Books”

Alternative Guest Book!

Amanda had a traditional sign in book when guests entered the house, but she wanted another something for her guests to have some fun with. She placed notecards at each place setting and had her maid of honor distribute colored pencils and instruct the guests to doodle, write notes, and share marriage advice on the cards. The guests had a blast with it. I saw all sorts of doodles, drawings, and sayings being passed around. Ask your invitation company if they can make a blank notecard that matches your invitations or programs.

4. The Bride and Groom’s private cake

The Cutest Cake!
Small is Cute, and all you need wether you have 10 or 300 guests!

Tall Tiered cakes can be really expensive and a lot of work to cut and serve. Here is an option for simplifying the process while still having a classy cake for your photos and the traditional cake cutting. Amanda and her husband Dan had their own private cake, a cute, petit, three-tiered cake from Las Vegas Custom Cakes. It was absolutely adorable, and the talk of the wedding, but certainly not big enough to share with her 100 guests. The solution: sheet cakes. If you don’t have the budget for a fully designed cake ask your baker if they can make you a small cute cake for show and a delicious sheet cake to eat!
