Brides, have you seen the new styles for this season’s Las Vegas wedding attire? From full-skirted ballgowns to tuxedo jackets with tails, wedding fashions are experiencing a return to demure, traditional styles. But while many gowns and tuxedos have a vintage vibe, Las Vegas wedding dress stores and tuxedo shops also offer all the modern trends, including hot summer colors and bold designs.
Today, we’d like to feature a variety of these styles from contemporary to classic. To start, take a look at this video by Something New. It features fashions from this spring’s designer fashion show at Veils, Tails, & Cocktails, a boutique Bridal Spectacular experience (which we’d just love to say was in the running for The 2012 Star Award for best bridal fashion show from Bridal Show Producers International! Eek!).
As you watch this video, take note of which styles you like best. Also, decide which color schemes you’d love to reflect you and your groom’s personal wedding style. Then review the fashion insight below to further develop your ideas.
Love what you saw?
Then it’s time to take this inspiration, and transform it into specifics. That way, brides, you’ll know exactly how to explain your favorite ideas to your attire specialist as you choose your wedding gowns and your grooms’ tuxedos.
Ruffles on Bridal Skirts: This season features lots and lots of layered ruffles. Whether you prefer a full-skirted ballgown or an A-line style, a gown’s ruffles give you an extra sense of elegance and femininity. For this season’s ruffles, try scalloped edges, organza petals, or swirled, asymmetrical layers.
Tea-Length Bridal Gowns: Following last year’s knee-length bridal gowns, this season features tea-length gowns. Depending on your style, this fashion can become fun, flirty, graceful, or chic. Polish its style with a sassy pair of shoes you’d love to show off, and top it all off with a birdcage veil.
Chapel-Length Trains: This season’s trains deliver a lot of volume and additional length for bridal gowns. Since it works well for formal wedding ceremonies (and can bustle for receptions), this length gives elegance without being too cumbersome. You’re a bride. Embrace this identity with a train that offers the full bridal experience as you walk the aisle.
Black Tuxedos: Classic never goes out of style. While black is not new, the way your man wears it can be contemporary. Rather than pair a black tux with a white vest and bow tie, try a burst of color. This season’s colors include sky blue, bright purple, teal, and gold. To finish the look, swap a colorful bow tie for a traditional necktie.
White Tuxedos: This season’s white tuxedos are paired with bright shades to reflect summer’s heat. Try a white tuxedo with vests in teal, tangerine, mango, or sports car red. To bring more personality to your groom’s look, also consider his accent pieces, including a fedora hat, two-tone shoes, or even black pants with a white jacket, no vest, and a formal tuxedo shirt.
Brides, once you and your groom have ideas of what you like, make an appointment at your favorite wedding attire stores. You can find a full list of recommended vendors on Bridal Spectacular’s website, complete with contact information and websites for each business that participated in this fashion show.
Happy shopping, brides, as you find the perfect attire from this season’s lively fashions!
