Depending on your Groom, he may or may not be that “in” to flowers or thinks he is limited to the standard senior prom carnation for his boutonniere. In today’s weddings, there are almost as many options for men’s flowers as there are for the bride, as well as alternatives that can work within any budget. Here are a few ideas and tips when choosing your Groom’s wedding flowers for your Las Vegas wedding.

Incorporate Accents

Your groom should choose flowers or accessories that reflect his personal style and are appropriate for everyone in his wedding party. Las Vegas’ Enchanted Florist said most men today are using real flowers in their boutonnieres, but with accents such as feathers, wire, twigs, cinnamon sticks and pops of color to match their wedding color scheme.

If your groom doesn’t particularly like flowers at all, he can showcase his personality by creating a boutonniere that includes a mini skateboard, racecar or G.I. Joe figurine.

Coordinating the Wedding Party’s Boutonnieres

There are various different ways to coordinate the men’s flowers for a wedding. You can try using the same type of flowers for all of the groomsmen’s boutonnieres and perhaps just make the groom’s flower a different color so his stands out like in the images below:

Or, you can use the same overall boutonniere style, but change up the flower and accents like in these examples:

Tips & Trends in Flowers

Colors: Enchanted Florist said purple is a wedding color that will always be a great choice and never go out of style. Another big trend for colors are different metallics, including everything from silver, gold and copper (especially for accents).

Let Your Personality Shine Through: Whatever your personal style is, be sure that it is reflected through all of the wedding décor, including the flowers. Enchanted Florist shared with us that they once helped with a wedding in Colorado where they created the Groom’s boutonniere from aspen branches that were in front of the couple’s home. They didn’t need to spend a lot of money and were able to use something that was significant to them and highlighted their personalities.

If You’re on a Budget: If need to stick to a budget (which most of us do), sometimes flowers are the first item to be trimmed down or removed altogether. Whatever your budget is, be sure that you do not cut back on the bridal bouquet or the groom’s boutonniere. Your wedding is your day to shine and the flowers can play a big role in that.

To help save a little money, try reusing the flowers from the altar, aisle way, or chairs depending on what they are. Then if you have a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and reception, the ceremony flowers could potentially be repurposed as centerpieces or extra décor around the reception room.
