2014 Bridal Fashion Trends

In 2013, we saw a lot of lace overlays, peplum skirts, embellished backs and illusion necklines for bridal gowns, but things are going to change a little in 2014. Evana from Bowties Bridal said we are still going to see high necklines and plunging backs, but slip-style dresses with beaded overlays are going to be the big hit in 2014. She also said that flowy chiffon dresses are going to be making a comeback. For bridal gown colors, Evana said they are still seeing color trends of 2013, such as champagne and blush, but we are going to start seeing soft blues for the first time in 2014.

For jewelry, she said they are seeing large, chunky pieces as a big trend. Tips for the Bride-to-Be

Evana also shared this great piece of advice for Bridal Spectacular readers — remember to be open when you are shopping for your dress. She said you might be surprised by what type of dress you end up falling in love with. Be sure to only bring the people whose opinion truly matters the most, because often times, bringing a large group can lead to confusion and frustration. Dress shopping is one of the most exciting moments in the wedding planning process and it should be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible!
