canyon-gate1The Bridal Spectacular team enjoyed lunch with at Canyon Gate yesterday and talked about various ways a bride can save money on the cost of her reception.

Canyon Gate’s suggestions:

Consider different ways of saving on your bar costs. You can consider a cash bar instead of an open bar. You can also cut costs by serving beer and wine only or perhaps one of the new and popular “signature drinks.”

Another cost cutting consideration is whether to serve buffet style or plated dinner. Locations can vary as to whether one is less expensive than the other.  Check with each facility you are considering to see which way will best fit your budget.

Another tip (from me) is to cut the number of guests you are inviting and stick to it.  Also impress on your guests the importance of RSVP’s.  If they RSVP,  don’t attend, and you have counted them in your dinner count confirmation, you will still have to pay for them.

Canyon Gate reminds brides that this is their day and they should feel comfortable having the menu that they like and not be too concerned about trying to please everyone. Keeping it simple can also help keep the costs down.

Canyon Gate is currently having a beautiful deck built to add an exciting new ceremony location to their already amazing facility. This new deck looking over the carefully manicured greens is scheduled to be done by August.

Brides you can meet face to face with the Canyon Gate team at the next Bridal Spectacular, the only bridal show that you truly don’t want to miss.
