Last Saturday, my daughter, Laura and two of her brides maids set out for a day of trying on bridesmaid dresses in local Las Vegas shops.  My daughter has a Las Vegas wedding scheduled for April 23 and had previously determined that she wanted her colors to be moss green and brown.

Our first stop was at Alfred Angelo in the Best of the West shopping center.  We had an appointment ,which is always recommended, and our sales lady was very helpful in pulling different dress options for the bridesmaids to try on in their sizes.  Both young ladies are quite petite and if the dress was too big, they were able to clip it in the back so we could tell what it would look like.  Not all the sample dresses were in the colors Laura wanted, but they could be ordered in colors she would be happy with.  By the end of our visit, we had narrowed it down to three styles that the bride and the bridesmaids were happy with.

Our next appointment was at David’s Bridal where again the bridesmaids found several dresses they liked and wanted to try on. While we thought the concept of each bridesmaid being able to choose a dress that fits her body style was really cool, Laura felt that she wanted all the girls in the same dress. We found one dress that came in a perfect shade of green for the wedding and a dress that was made of a Jacquard print that had an asian flair to it.  (Laura’s theme is asian).  The dress did not come in green or brown but was available in a lovely champagne color.  Since Laura’s dress is accented with a champagne sash, she thought why not go with champagne for the girls and then accent theirs with a green sash?

We also want to visit a few other stores in town, and see the fashion show at the upcoming Bridal Spectacular, but right now our vote is on the Champagne dress.  Which ones do you like?

Note: Alfred Angelo closed all their stores in 2017.
