At the most recent Bridal Spectacular bridal show, JW Marriott received a 2010 Dazzle Award for its breathtaking display. Although the awards’ judges are fellow bridal show exhibitors, I certainly would have cast my vote for this display, given a chance. I noted the sophisticated décor, the rich colors of their reception table demonstration, and the professional attire and attitudes of the staff. This display is a mere fraction of what JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa has to offer brides and grooms through its varied ceremony and reception venues.

JW Marriott at Bridal Spectacular

That afternoon at the bridal show, I spoke with JW Marriott Las Vegas representative Richard Jackson, the Senior Banquet Captain. Yes, anyone with a title as cool as Senior Banquet Captain makes my list—I thought, then promptly considered changing my own title to Lieutenant Blogger. While Jackson admitted that Catering Sales Manager Michael Testagrossa is definitely the dazzle behind JW Marriott’s Dazzle Award success, Jackson provided a sense of calm professionalism as well as information helpful to any bride looking to begin her Las Vegas wedding planning.

“JW Marriott has 54 acres of beautiful grounds,” Jackson said, “which include gardens, flowing rivers, [and] two separate towers of about 260 rooms each.” With natural landscapes and accommodations for out-of-town guests, JW Marriott Las Vegas also offers multiple venues throughout the property for weddings. These locations vary “from the indoor to the outdoor, ranging in size from 25 people to 400,” Jackson said.

Therefore, JW Marriott Las Vegas offers not one venue for a wedding, but six stunning locations. And that number rises if you consider restaurants within the resort.

Celebrate natural beauty with arbors and stone aisles at the Garden Gazebo. Transport your wedding reception to the Mediterranean at Valencia Ballroom. Dramatize your wedding with The Terrace’s stunning views of Red Rock sunsets or night life lights of the Las Vegas Strip. Cultivate intimacy amidst your guests in The Parian Room. Feel like royalty with white-glove service in Suite 6200. Be down to earth in The Lodge. Gaze beyond floor-to-ceiling windows to nearby streams from the Marabella Room.

“That’s a good variety,” Jackson said. “Each room has a very unique feature. It’s not your typical hall.”

In addition to the wedding venue variety, JW Marriott excels at providing optional, all-inclusive packages for brides and grooms. To expedite your the wedding planning process, you can choose to use a wedding planner, disc jockey, photographer, caterer, cake specialist, hair stylist, and even manicurist recommended by JW Marriott. With only one bill to pay and less time locating your own vendors, you can spend more time focusing on what really matters—the relationship between you and your groom.
