Soraya and Antonio’s Las Vegas Wedding Day was truly a labor of love and creativity. After being together for eight years they knew one day they would get married when the finances and time were right. But life has a way of changing plans, when Soraya’s mom was diagnosed with stage four cancer; this young couple decided to make the most of whatever time they had with their mom/mother-in-law and planned the wedding in only two and half months.
Wasting no time and utilizing the resources they had, Soraya and Antonio enlisting the help of amazing friends and family in planning their wedding which was largely D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself). Soraya wanted a rainbow theme and Antonio wanted origami. The couple collaborated to create an adorable theme that encompassed both of their desires and demonstrated their colorful personality, With all their wedding helpers, they folded 1600 origami cranes in all the colors of the rainbow; stringing them to white icicle lights. As the sun was setting and the icicle lights came on the beautiful origami cranes were in full display. This Dream Come True wedding was captured by Ali McGhie.
In keeping with the rainbow theme a custom designed wedding gown skirt was made from over 40 yards of tulle in every color of the rainbow and attached to a corset and topped with a bolero from David’s Bridal. All the bridesmaids wore white sleeveless dresses each one accented in a specific color of the rainbow, with white flat shoes trimmed with matching ribbon. Thier groomsman counterparts wore grey slacks and a white dress shirt from Kohl’s and of course matched each bridesmaid with colorful suspenders and a bowtie. The groom wore a black tux with a rainbow bow tie.
