With what started as a simple love for baseball, turned into an absolutely breathtaking wedding for Elisabeth and Chris. Thank you for letting Bridal Spectacular share your beautiful story with our readers. Let’s start at the beginning!
Elisabeth and Chris met while playing on rival co-ed softball teams. After they started dating, neither of them would change teams in order to play with each other — and to this day, they still enjoy playing against each other. Though, that didn’t get in the way of a their amazing proposal story.
On January 2, 2013, Elisabeth woke up to Chris making her blueberry pancakes. Little did she know that her engagement ring had already been delivered to their house earlier that morning. After breakfast, Chris asked Elisabeth is she wanted to go sledding at Mt. Charleston since neither of them had been there before. Once they arrived, Chris suggested they should just go exploring and leave the sleds in the car. After climbing over two hills in about six inches of snow, Elisabeth said she started to get over the idea of “exploring.” As she began to turn around and unfortunately start complaining about how much further they should go, she saw Chris fiddling with his pocket. She immediately lost it and began crying. Chris then got down on one knee and asked Elisabeth to marry him! She of course said “Yes!” and then their wedding planning adventures began.
To help plan their dream wedding, Chris and Elisabeth attended one of our great Bridal Spectacular shows to get them started. After all of their research, they chose to get married at the beautiful Cascata Golf Course and selected Imagine Studios to document their magical day.

A Glimpse into Elisabeth and Chris’ Wedding Day
Tying in their love for baseball, Elisabeth and Chris’ wedding on October 4, 2014 was certainly a home run! Their ring bearer used a baseball glove instead of a pillow, the wedding cake featured stitching from a baseball (instead of traditional flowers or scrollwork) and the tables were numbered after the year that both of their favorite teams had won the World Series. For the wedding attire, the groomsman wore the colors of the Chicago White Sox (Chris’ favorite team), while the bridesmaids and man of honor wore the colors of the San Francisco Giants (Elisabeth’s favorite team). To top it off, Elisabeth said the most outrageous thing they did during the wedding was sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” while all of their guests sang along!
