Bridal Spectacular: What about the JW Marriott Las Vegas would you like to highlight to couples?
Keri: The JW Marriott is such a unique venue in Las Vegas as it is one of a few resort properties that offer immaculate, beautiful outdoor and indoor settings for both ceremonies and receptions. Being off the main Las Vegas Strip, yet only 15-20 minutes away, gives couples the feeling of being at a destination wedding while transfixed in a location you never knew would have existed. The property sits on 54 acres, with 11 acres of lush, manicured grounds.

Bridal Spectacular: What additional wedding services do you offer couples?
Keri: Being a resort property, many destination weddings make it a vacation and enjoy the many on-property amenities, including an award-winning spa & salon, beautiful pool, dining, PGA Tour golf course, casino, and nearby shopping areas. We also offer all-inclusive dinner and brunch wedding packages, along with restaurants for rehearsal dinners and brunches.
Bridal Spectacular: What are your top tips to couples when planning their wedding?
Keri: With the excitement of getting engaged, one of the first things to do is choose a date and know your estimated guest size. When looking for venues, narrow down what your top priorities are, such as: food/beverage/type of setting/budget/location/all-inclusive or non-inclusive/reputation and experience/décor. These will help your wedding coordinator at each venue give you a better idea of what you are looking for so they can better assist you with what they can offer.
Also, try to make appointments to tour venues as much as possible, as oftentimes, venues already have scheduled events or appointments that do not allow them to give you the attention and time that they would want to. Do your research on venues ahead of time so you have a general idea/expectation of the venue and can eliminate wasted time if it doesn’t match what you are looking for.
As much as you love a venue, you must also connect with your wedding coordinator or event specialist as you will have many months of planning together and the confidence and level of service can make a huge difference in how smoothly or stressful it can be.
Bridal Spectacular: Is there anything you don’t recommend?
Keri: Be realistic with your expectations and budget so you do not become frustrated or discouraged from the process. Overall, a wedding is the wonderful celebration of the love between two people. Do not get wrapped up in what everyone else is doing or what everyone wants because at the end of the day, you are starting your new life together and that is first and foremost.
Bridal Spectacular: What are the latest trends you have seen with weddings?
Keri: We are seeing a different spin on the rustic/mason jar themes that have been so popular. Although they are still popular, we are seeing pops of modern and contemporary being added to give it a more rustic/modern feel.
Although the formal plated dinners will always be part of weddings, we are also seeing stations and fun food ideas, like s’mores stations, cookie bars, food trucks, and small bites that are becoming more popular as some couples are looking for a more casual atmosphere.
