Crissie & Tanner Become Say “I Do” With a Las Vegas Wedding Weekend to Remember

Although Crissie is originally from Southern California and Tanner is from Minnesota, the couple wanted to have their wedding in the place they met — Las Vegas! So the couple coordinated a Vegas Wedding Weekend to remember for all of their out-of-town guests.

A Glimpse at Crissie and Tanner’s Wedding
Crissie and Tanner’s March wedding took place at the beautiful The Revere Golf Club. Crissie’s college roommate, who owns her own travel agency, set up rooms for all of the guests at M Resort to begin their wedding weekend extravaganza.
“It was great to be off the strip but still give our guests a Vegas feel,” Crissie shared. “We kicked off the festivities with a rehearsal dinner at Whist Stove & Spirits at the District followed by drinks at M Resort on Thursday night. Friday was our wedding day and Saturday we rented cabanas at the M Resort’s Pool for guests to come down and enjoy some food, sun, and to watch the March Madness Final Four with my sports-loving husband. At one point on Saturday, I looked around at the pool at M and realized that our guests had taken over half of the pool area with our California, Minnesota, and Vegas friends all mixed together which is something I’ll never forget!”
And their wedding day was just as special! The couple selected a timeless plush pink and navy color scheme. It was very important to showcase their personalities throughout the wedding and add as many personal touches as they could.
“On our wedding day, it was important to us that it was very “us.” My husband is a Beatles fanatic so we had “All You Need is Love” play right after we were pronounced man and wife, my big brother walked me down the aisle which was so special since he’s been the primary man in my life until now, and my father-in-law who is one of the greatest men I’ll ever know was our officiant, which made it that much more personal and special for Tanner and I. My mom and I made the party favors ourselves, my mother-in-law and I ironed on the bridesmaids initials on all of the robes we wore that day, my cousin who worked for a retail company helped me pick out the groomsman ties, and my very crafty blogger bridesmaid, Lindsey Gurk decorated my chalkboards for me. It was all hands on deck — and it was the best weekend of our lives.”
Crissie also shared these fantastic tips for future brides!
“My advice for brides is to stay organized. I was completely done with everything by the time our guests arrived so I was able to enjoy all the hard work that went into planning. Also, plan ahead and take advantage of sales for bridal party attire, and holiday weekend sales for invitations, and wedding programs, it can save you hundreds if not thousands. Last but not least, both of our moms are from the Midwest. Tanner and I grew up adhering to the strict Midwest manner code. In order to ensure we saw everyone, we had a receiving line as people were making their way into the reception, which ensured that we got to see everyone at our wedding. We had a slideshow of pictures rolling inside so people could be entertained as they were seated but it was a great way to visit with all of our guests.
