Selecting that optimal fit, just the right color and impeccable accessories to create the ultimate wedding look is no easy feat — and brides, we aren’t talking about you this time! Designing the perfect wedding style for the groom-to-be is just as important as anything other component in the wedding planning process. That’s why we at Bridal Spectacular have selected Tuxedo Junction for our next vendor spotlight!
About Tuxedo Junction
Tuxedo Junction is the number one formal wear specialists in Las Vegas with a mission to “make you look and feel like a million dollars.” Their tuxedo experts are dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service each time you visit. For more than 30 years, they have been committed to making your wedding stress-free and perfect!
Michelle Parsons, the Director of Sales and Marketing, said Tuxedo Junction includes an in-stock warehouse in Las Vegas, which allows couples to actually see and try on the tuxedos in person so they can select the right style and proper fit for them.
In addition, Tuxedo Junction offers the “Fast Fit” program, where groomsmen who are out-of-town or can’t make it to the warehouse can get measured wherever they live by simply submitting their measurements through Tuxedo Junction’s interactive website. And by having stock on the premises, last-minute orders or changes can be easily accommodated in just a matter of minutes. Tuxedo Junction also offers special wedding and group discounts for the entire wedding party!
The Tuxedo Junction Process
To start the process, a groom can make an appointment (although it is not required) to have a consultation regarding his wedding tuxedo. When he arrives at the Tuxedo Junction store, he can select and try on styles he likes and that also coordinate with the wedding colors. The staff at Tuxedo Junction is always happy to assist in this process to find what will best suit the groom’s build and taste. Typically, the groom’s attire is slightly different from his groomsmen, but all of the men’s tuxedo accessories generally coordinate with the colors of the bride’s and bridesmaid’s dresses.
Often times, brides and grooms are concerned about getting size measurements for their wedding party members who live out-of-state. To help alleviate this problem, the bridal party can visit TuxedoFit.com, which will refer tuxedo shops in their area. Through TuxedoFit.com, any out-of-town bridal party members or family can receive a complimentary fitting from a member of the International Formalwear Association.
Tips & Trends for the Groom-to-Be
Michelle said since formal wear shops are not the same, it is best to get recommendations from former grooms or groomsmen. In today’s wedding world, it is fairly common for many of the groomsmen and attendants to travel great distances for a wedding. Because of this, they will send their measurements and then arrive only one day or even hours before the wedding in hopes their tuxedo will fit properly. Michelle added that it’s very important to have a second fitting to ensure any final alterations can be made. If you shop at a “Big Box” store that doesn’t carry inventory, you can end up having last-minute mishaps that may not be able to be fixed on such short notice. A local store that carries inventory will be able to make any corrections needed right on the spot.
And finally for trends, Michelle said the classic black tuxedo styles are still popular choices for many occasions. There is also a trend toward grey, tan, brown and slate blue tuxedos. Regarding accessories, bow ties are very popular right now, as well as tie and vest colors that coordinate with the dress colors. And for the colors, The Pantone color for 2014 has been declared to be “Radiant Orchid!”
