Shopping for wedding dresses should be a positive experience
Las Vegas brides can be confident that shopping for a wedding dress will be a positive experience. My daughter Laura and I visited the Alfred Angelo at “Best in The West” shopping center. We had called for an appointment on short notice and they were able to squeeze us in on a Friday evening for a two hour appointment. While we waited our turn, we were given their catalogues to browse through and start selecting the dresses she would like to try on. We were quite pleased that many of the dresses Laura liked were available in larger sizes so she could truly tell what they would look like on her.
We were introduced to our personal consultant, Sally, who has been in the industry for over 30 years. This was something we were quite excited by as I too have been in the wedding industry for over 30 years and have pretty exclusive taste in dresses. Laura, has modeled for The Bridal Spectacular, Las Vegas’ largest bridal show since she was 14, so we knew she would also be quite picky. Its not that we wanted to spend a lot of money on a dress, but we knew we would not be happy with just any dress. So Sally proceeded to bring out Alfred Angelo’s top of the line dresses from their Sapphire Collection as well as Piccione gowns.
After trying on about 4 or 5 gowns, Laura was able to narrow it down to two that she liked and one of them was absolutely drop dead gorgeous on her! Take a look at these photos and see what you think. I wish I could say we are done with our search, but as I said we are both quite selective and we want to be sure she finds the dress of her dreams. So there are still a few more shops we want to visit and designers she wants to see! However, we do want to make sure we order at least 7 months before the wedding to give the manufacturers plenty of time to create the gown. So continue to follow us as we visit additional stores.
Note from publisher: Alfred Angelo went into bankruptcy and out of business in 2017.
