In a city of bright lights and extravagant buildings, Dragon Ridge Country Club offers Las Vegas brides and grooms serenity through a Las Vegas wedding venue with luxurious amenities, natural landscapes, and a panoramic view of the Las Vegas valley.
“We have the perfect venue for all our fabulous brides who just got engaged,” Carrie Key, Wedding and Events Director at Dragon Ridge Country Club, said at the most recent Bridal Spectacular bridal show.
Nestled in MacDonald Highlands near the desert foothills of the Black Mountain area, Dragon Ridge offers four ceremony locations for Las Vegas weddings. At one of two separate pool locations, a bride can soak in the peaceful tranquility of pyramid waterfalls and swaying palms as she walks the aisle to marry her groom. If she prefers a more natural location, she can marry on lush rolling hills of the Highland Lawn, a well-preserved driving range. Or, for intimate indoor luxury, she can be married within the Grand Highland Ballroom that overlooks the Las Vegas Strip and nearby mountain range through panoramic windows draped in raw silk. In at atmosphere of lavish beauty in natural tones, Las Vegas brides and grooms will discover that, as Carrie Key said, Dragon Ridge Country Club is one of the best-kept secrets in Las Vegas.
“From a private guard-gated community,” Key said of Dragon Ridge, “people get an idea of what’s outside the Las Vegas Strip [through] the elegance of a private country club.”
In addition to breathtaking ceremony locations, Dragon Ridge also offers a pleasing reception room and cocktail hour site.
“We have an eastern patio that looks over the MacDonald Black Mountains for the cocktail hors d’oeuvre reception before everyone moves into the Grand Highland Ballroom for dinner and dancing,” Key said.
In the Grand Highland Ballroom, wedding guests experience a wedding reception unlike any other they’ve attended. With a 16-foot projection screen that drops from the ceiling, brides and grooms can display photomontages or video presentations during the reception. For dancing, Dragon Ridge also offers a custom, inlaid dance floor made of cherry wood and constructed in a star-burst pattern.
“It’s the only one like it in the state,” Key said of the unique dance floor. “It’s in the center of the room, so everyone has a fabulous view.”
The custom quality of the reception ballroom reflects the way Dragon Ridge treats its clients as well.
“We don’t believe in cookie-cutter weddings,” Key said. “We love to have each wedding customized to match their personality and their lifestyles. So we really want to sit down and hear what brides envision for their wedding day and then put it all together.”
At Dragon Ridge Country Club, brides and grooms receive flexibility and are allowed personalization at every turn—menu planning, décor, vendors, and venue locations throughout the property. Finally, to completely ensure each wedding day reflects each bride and groom, Dragon Ridge never books more than one bride per day.
“It’s all about the bride on her wedding day,” Key said. “And we cater to all types.”
