On April 23, 2011, I had the privilege to celebrate the union of Bridal Spectacular’s own Laura Hansen and her groom Charles Covington. On this special day, this young couple pledged their love and lives to each other in one of the most breathtaking ceremonies I’ve witnessed. From a rose-laden archway to the hanging lanterns that graced the trees, the Hansen family backyard had been transformed into a romantic place where dreams come true.
Las Vegas brides, in the coming week, I’d like to share several wedding trends with you that I witnessed this weekend through The Covington Wedding. But before we plunge into the details, I’d like to give you a taste of what else to expect from this spectacular occasion as it applies to you. All inspired by Laura and Charlie’s special day, these features listed below are coming your way faster than you can tie the knot!
Inspiration Avenue
With the flair of Asian inspiration paired with traditional American wedding elements, The Covington Wedding proved that backyard weddings can declare striking elegance while still making each guest feel right at home. Brides, at the Bridal Spectacular bridal show coming to Las Vegas this August, you’ll find this concept recreated and elaborated for our famed Inspiration Avenue. As you take in the decor, you’ll glean inspiration for your own ceremonies and receptions too.
Idea Gallery
As we brides know, one of the best ways to discover what we’d like for our weddings is to view photographs. That’s why Las Vegas wedding planning guide Spectacular Bride is dedicating its “Real Weddings” section for August publication to The Covington Wedding. Brides, you’ll discover how a fellow Vegas bride made her vision blossom for Asian elegance in her own backyard. Then you’ll be able to gather ideas to customize your own wedding, whether it’s at a residence, hotel, or local country club.
Blog Posts by the Bride
Who better to explain a wedding than the bride herself? Las Vegas brides, throughout the coming months, the new Mrs. Laura Covington will be writing a series of blog posts just for you. Stay tuned as she and the MOB (mother of the bride) bring you the details of their D.I.Y. wedding projects and more!
Until the next release of The Covington Wedding, get excited to celebrate Laura’s marriage to the man she loved in her own special way. Then, brides, know that your own day is coming soon when you’ll be able to celebrate with those you love in your own unique way too.
