From the ceremony procession, the grand entrance and dancing the night away during the reception, music plays a vital role in any wedding. And, to ensure everything goes smoothly, it’s necessary to hire a great DJ to help make your wedding a true celebration! That’s where the quality and professionalism of Knight Sounds Entertainment comes in. Knight Souonds has been participating in the Bridal Spectacular for over 20 years.  We wanted to share more about this company with you.

About Knight Sounds Entertainment

Knight Sounds Entertainment has been entertaining Las Vegas weddings for more than 25 years with a premier staff to accommodate the highest of demands. Their DJs are most importantly the MC for a wedding, ensuring a quality experience for their couples. To start the planning process, they provide each couple with a planner so they can customize their play list and wedding events. Then, their support staff gathers all the details for the DJs so they rock the party!

Knight Sounds DJs coordinate all wedding details with the catering staff, photographer and videographer to make sure everything runs smoothly for your big day. The DJs also inspire audience participation and create the level of energy on the dance floor that fits what you and your guests desire. Whether you like to dance to pop, country, jazz, rock & roll, the 60’s or everything in between, Knight Sounds Entertainment has an ever-expanding music library to accommodate any wedding style. They can also provide bi-lingual DJs upon request.

Music Trends For Today’s Weddings

Manager for Knight Sounds, Jennifer Spangler said when couples think of ceremony music, their thoughts typically jump to Pachelbel’s “Cannon in D” or Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March,” but about half of their couples are steering away from the expected and embracing current music styles. She said their most requested processional song is currently “A thousand Years” by Christina Perri and for the recessional, “All You Need is Love” by The Beatles. The music selected for the ceremony can really help define your theme and show your personality, so Jennifer said couples should really spend time customizing their song choices.

Jennifer also shared with us that traditions such as the bouquet and garter toss are definitely slowing down, but reinventing these traditions are a great way to pay homage to the past. For example, she said you could invite all the ladies and then gentleman out on the dance floor and toss the bouquet followed by the garter for good luck. This gets everyone involved and still allows you to include a traditional element in your wedding.

Planning Tips for the Couple-to-Be

Jennifer said their DJs work closely with the other vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly — and since the DJs are also the MC for the entire wedding, working with the other vendors and understanding the event timeline is extremely important.

She also said that couples need to make sure the DJ you select has experience with making proper announcements and is knowledgeable on how to best use the event time. Also be sure to hire the same company/DJ for the entire event (ceremony cocktail/social hour and reception) to help keep everything cohesive and running on time. With so many different phases, locations and distractions each wedding can have, it’s essential to hire a DJ who has experience directing your guests through each phase of the event with professional announcements and fun music to mark each transition.

Jennifer also said it’s best that couples make wedding planning decisions that work for you and your budget. Lastly, she said these three things always make for a great event: great entertainment, great food and an open bar! Include these elements in your own wedding and you will truly have a fantastic celebration to be remembered!
