Bridal Spectacular’s bridal show is coming soon! Who are you bringing with you? While you could complete your Las Vegas wedding planning alone, I recommend bringing friends, family, and your bridal party to accompany you to the upcoming August bridal show. With these special people in tow, you can enjoy hanging out next weekend, receive input from people who matter most to you, and allow them to take part as you prepare for your next stage of life—marriage.

Winning awesome prizes
We all won awesome prizes.

When I attended Bridal Spectacular in January, I brought along my groom, my maid-of-honor (MOH), my mother, and two bridesmaids. As a courtesy to the girls I invited along, I chose to purchase their tickets. When the day finally arrived, everyone met at my house. We snatched our printed, online tickets, tossed a few snacks in our purses, and all piled into one car to head to Bridal Spectacular.

Bridesmaids have fun too!

At the show, I loved having the opportunity to enjoy my weekend with my groom and my girls. We sampled champagne. We shoved ourselves into a photo booth for a series of silly-faced pictures. We won free prizes from games set up by various vendors. My bridesmaids and MOH even found plastic diamond rings and broke out into Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” near the Albertson’s cake displays. Needless to say, we had a blast together!

Another fun aspect was inviting the girls and my groom to add their two cents to the wedding planning. For example, I saw a water immersion technique with lilies at Bridal Spectacular. Immediately, I was in awe. So were my MOH, mother, and bridesmaids. In that moment, we agreed this floral style fit my reception perfectly.

Not long after, my groom Anthony and I stopped to speak with a disc jockey. I felt the DJ was the perfect match for Anthony and me, from his nerdy glasses to his enthusiasm for group dance songs. I talked with Anthony, and he felt the same great vibes. We instantly had assurance from each other. As a result, we hired that DJ at Bridal Spectacular, and six months later, he made our wedding reception better than we could have ever imagined. I’m so glad I was able to talk over such important planning decisions with friends and family who I trusted.

My group and I at Bridal Spectacular
My group and I loved Bridal Spectacular.

Bridal Spectacular helps you plan your wedding, but it’s also beneficial for your bridesmaids, MOH, and mom. As they walked with me that Saturday at Bridal Spectacular’s bridal show, enjoying the environment and giving their input, they felt they could contribute to this next phase of my life. Including your friends and family in the wedding planning encourages them that they still matter to you. You’ve invited them to help you plan one the most important days of your life. And, on your wedding day, they’ll stand beside you, excited to see you through to the next stage of life with the man you’re about to marry in the wedding they helped you plan.

This weekend, make a few phone calls. Invite your best friends, your bridesmaids, your maid-of-honor, your sisters, and maybe even your mom to join you next weekend. Then, buy a few extra tickets online to Bridal Spectacular’s upcoming show,  You’ll be glad you did.
